Events, Workshops & Capacity Building
Capacity building and awareness creation form a core pillar of AKCM’s road safety mission. The organization actively promotes road safety awareness right from the school and college level, extending through industry professionals, engineers, enforcement agencies, and senior government authorities, thereby encompassing all stakeholders across the road safety ecosystem.
AKCM has conducted noteworthy large-scale workshops and capacity-building programs with leading industry and institutional stakeholders, including Nayara Energy, where 1,000+ participants were trained. These programs involved students, commercial drivers, engineers, NHAI officials, district authorities, and State Police personnel, creating multi-level impact across education, engineering, enforcement, and governance.
In addition, AKCM has delivered road safety awareness and technical workshops across India, including Chennai and Salem (Tamil Nadu), Puducherry, Bikaner (Rajasthan), Rewari (Haryana), Rajamahendravaram (Andhra Pradesh), Patiala (Punjab), Delhi, Noida, and multiple locations in Uttar Pradesh. Through structured and interactive programs conducted at schools, colleges, and institutional platforms, AKCM has trained 1,000+ students and over 100 government and industry personnel, including NHAI, PWD officials, district collectors, local administrations, and senior police officers.
Through these sustained efforts, AKCM continues to strengthen road safety culture, institutional preparedness, and technical capacity across India—bridging awareness, policy, engineering, and enforcement.
AI-Led Engineering & Road Safety Automation
AKCM is actively developing AI/ML-driven engineering solutions to transform infrastructure management and automate road safety processes. As part of its applied research and innovation initiatives, AKCM—in collaboration with Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET)—has launched a flagship project titled “Real-Time Health Monitoring and Development of Maintenance Management System for Rigid Pavements using AI/ML.”
The project focuses on building an AI-based decision-support platform for real-time pavement health monitoring, performance evaluation, and predictive maintenance, leveraging AI/ML models, LiDAR and inertial profiling sensors, geo-tagged data capture, and cloud-based analytics.
Importantly, this initiative also serves as a precursor and foundational module for AKCM’s AI-enabled Road Safety Automation framework. The platform is being developed to integrate road-safety-aligned functionalities such as automated chainage tracking, geo-referenced visual documentation, annotation-based analysis, and corridor-level analytics, enabling future deployment as an AI-driven Road Safety Audit and Risk Assessment tool.
The project follows a structured multi-phase roadmap—from prototype and MVP development to field validation, industry engagement, and deployment ensuring that academic research translates into field-ready, scalable solutions for National Highways and large road networks.
